J2EE Software Engineer

We are seeking qualified Sr. J2EE developers to support a dynamic environment focusing on quality coding.

Work Location: Chevy Chase.  

Task Order Description:

·         Participates in application design and development discussions with clients and management to determine client needs and ensure that product adheres to established specifications and standards. Identifies issues and recommends alternative courses of action.

·         Performs J2EE development, modification, unit and integration testing, debugging tasks, and peer reviews to ensure fit with current operating environment.

·         Reviews and edits documentation for all applications developed within the project

·         Five or more years of developing, debugging, testing, and implementing J2EE applications in a relational database environment.

·         Seven  or more years experience of some or all of the following: SOAP and  REST Web Services, Google App Engine, Hibernate, XHTML, JSF, Ajax, Web-based components (JSP, XSLT),  Struts, Spring, Apache, Tomcat, Java Design Patterns (GOF), and Rational tool suite.

·         Experience working with and following Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

·         Experience following software development and J2EE best practices.

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.

·         Ability to work in a team environment and to lead others on the project team.
