Linux Administrator

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of administering RHEL-based linux systems, including Red Hat Clustering services and GFS
• Experience in maintaining a 24x7 high-availability web environment
• Excellent scripting skills, very strong knowledge of bash, perl, awk
• Experience in maintaining version control software such as Subversion and Git
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Configuration Management tools such as, CFEngine, Puppet, or others
• Experience creating and maintaining RPM packages
• Experience supporting and tuning Apache, PHP, Perl, and MySQL
• Ability to properly configure, compile and install perl instances
• Strong understanding of security best practices, server hardening, auditing and logging
• Experience configuring and using monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zenoss, or others
• Understanding of networking technology and IP-protocols
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with emphasis on clear documentation and ability to draw effective diagrams
• Experience with latest perl technologies, such as Catalyst and Moose a plus
