June 1, 2011—The membership of the Young AFCEAn Quantico-Potomac Chapter recently voted in Quotient’s John O’Leary as the group’s Vice President. As Vice President, Mr. O’Leary is responsible for leading a group of AFCEAn’s that are age 40 or younger to increase “younger” membership, provide support to local high schools, and support Wounded Warriors with outreach programs. Through Mr. O’Leary’s leadership and initiative, the Quantico-Potomac’s Young AFCEAn membership has grown exponentially in his first months in office. Monthly networking events have attracted Marines from local Quantico schools as well as industry members that are interested in, and have consequently joined, AFCEA.
The Young AFCEAns are members of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association under the age of 40. AFCEA is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry, and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence, and global security.
