Senior Drupal SME
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Drupal subject matter expert to join our team. We currently support over a dozen high-traffic Drupal 7, 8, and 9 websites for multiple customers. We’re searching for someone to join our team and help support our growing portfolio of projects. We’re looking for someone with experience in agency-style environments who is accustomed to supporting multiple customers simultaneously. You’ll be working closely with our team comprising a mix of junior, mid-level, and senior developers as well as DevOps and Application Engineers. You should be familiar with Drupal best practices and all aspects of development (front- and back-end). We’ll help you expand your skills with management and business development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Provide advanced technical knowledge of Drupal including high-level functional analysis, design, integration, documentation/training, and implementation for large-scale Drupal websites.
Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle with emphasis on implementation and execution.
Provide leadership with resolving esoteric problems which require extensive knowledge of Drupal — many of our sites support hundreds of thousands of nodes with rich media integration.
Perform detailed needs assessments for our customers that allows our team to create strategic solutions that meet our customer’s current and future needs.
Provide Drupal and related technologies SME support throughout the life cycle (Discovery, User Experience and Architecture, Site Prototyping, Visual Design and Theme, Technical Implementation, Testing, Launch and O&M) will include serving as a SME for:
Assist with planning of training and related user support
Provide ad hoc Drupal and related technologies technical training
Site Building, Front-End and Back-End Development
Development of Drupal roles and types of access associated with them
Reviewing and ensuring requirements are developed in accordance with Drupal best practices
Support developers in Drupal and related technologies development and best practices
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8+ years’ related experience as a web developer
Minimum of 5+ years related experience with Drupal (Expert Level)
Strong experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with SASS, jQuery, and Bootstrap highly desired
Strong experience with Git, GitHub, and version control concepts
Strong experience with full life cycle support
Experience identifying and creating governance or oversight activities associated with Drupal development.
Extensive experience with deployment and content management principles
Experienced with DevOps workflow.
Experienced reviewing and ensuring requirements are developed in accordance with Drupal best practices
Experience planning of training and related user support
Bachelor’s degree or higher level preferred
